54TH CEZ JIZERSKA 50 IS BEING PREPARED BY THE ORGANISERS, THEY COUNT ON POSSIBLE RESTRICTIONS

September 30^th is the last day when you can get the cheapest race fee for the 54^th CEZ Jizerska 50. In relation to this and in the context of the current measures regarding the coronavirus pandemic we have put together the most important information.

We are doing our best to ensure the race takes place in the format we have known for years. At the same time the safety of all participants and organisers is always of utmost importance to us. We are ready to stage the race safely, even under the strictest conditions that can arise and we will carefully obey all regulations and measures imposed by the Czech Ministry of Health. We managed to meet at the start of the summer Jizerská 50 RUN, we’ll manage it in a few months at the winter 54^th ČEZ Jizerská 50.

In the following paragraphs you will find information that should help participants in the race to understand the complicated situation. We believe that despite these obstacles we’ll enjoy Jizerská 50 in 2021 just as we did this year.

At the moment we’ve prepared for several versions of what might happen to the race, especially in regard to the limited number of persons at a mass event or a limited access of foreigners from abroad.

• In the case of a set limit of the number of participants at the start we are ready to organise Jizerská 50 with a changed time schedule with a bigger number of starts and greater time gaps. We will try to make the race happen while obeying all the hygienic restrictions at the same time. In that case, some skiers would have to ski their race on a different day than the one they signed up for.
• If the race had to be cancelled because of the exceptional measures due to COVID-19 pandemic, we would need around one month to calculate all the costs of the cancelled year and the maximum possible compensation for the race fee paid.
• In the event of foreigners being banned from travelling we recommend extra travel insurance against COVID-19.
• For a greater security in 2021, the race has been insured against lack of snow by VZP a.s. insurance company. If the race can’t take place even on a substitute or shortened course, participants will be reimbursed up to 1120 CZK. More detailed information on this insurance can be found here.

To sum up, the earlier you buy your race fee, the better off you will be plus you will save money in every scenario. Don’t forget that you can reserve a place on the start list at the best price only until 30^th September. We believe that immunity supported by sport can weather any critical situation and we won’t interrupt a tradition of several decades. Registration is open at www.sportid.cz.
