Registrations for the 56th ČEZ Jizerská 50 open on 1st September! Competitors can choose from courses for amateurs and experienced cross-country skiers. The first wave of registrations offers the lowest race fee and is open until 31 October. There are several new features for the upcoming year. The 56th ČEZ Jizerská 50 will take place between 9th and 12th February 2023.
This year, skiers have the chance to get the lowest race fee until October 31, 2022. The early bird race fee for the main race is CZK 2,120. Online registrations will be open until January 29, 2023. On-site registrations will be possible up to the capacity of the individual races. Thanks to the VZP a.s. insurance company, race fee refunds in the case of lack of snow are now a matter of course; you will receive up to CZK 1,470.
ČSOB and Mastercard are joining the 56th ČEZ Jizerská 50 together as the main payments partner. Thanks to this cooperation, competitors will save significantly. If you use a Mastercard issued by ČSOB to pay for the race fee from 1st September to 31st October 2022, you’ll get a 50% discount. You can use one card to buy more than one race fee, but up to a maximum discount value of CZK 1,060. If you don’t have a Mastercard from ČSOB, don’t worry. You can open an account with ČSOB quickly and easily. You will get the discount on your race fee plus additional CZK 2,000 as a bonus for a new account.
“We appreciate the new cooperation, which provides benefits for our competitors. We are glad that thanks to the new partnership with ČSOB and Mastercard we can offer race participants a cheaper race fee and ensure that Jizerská 50 will continue to be a place of sporting challenges as well as a place of meetings, shared experiences and unforgettable moments. ČSOB and Mastercard are helping us to make this happen, for which we are very grateful," says David Douša from Raul about the cooperation.
Another novelty at the 56th edition of the legendary race is an extra race day. The Bedřichov stadium will come alive as early as Thursday, 9th February 2023, especially for free style enthusiasts. They can look forward to the Volkswagen Bedřichovská 30 race and now also the ČSOB Jizerská 17 race.
Friday morning will traditionally belong to children, for whom there is the Mini Jizerská Pojišt'ovny VZP. The rest of the day will features a very attractive programme for spectators. First comes the start of the relay teams race under the auspices of our premium partner T-Mobile. Teams consist of colleagues from companies, friends, as well as popular personalities from sport, culture or public life.
The end of the day will provide the most adrenaline-pumping event. Right in the heart of the lit-up stadium in Bedřichov, the world’s top cross-country skiers will race in the attractive ORLEN Benzina Sprint. In the past, this fast race was attended by such stars as Olympic champion Petter Northug or Czech-born Swede Max Novak.
The first weekend day will see two shorter but very popular races. The first to start is Jizerská 25, followed by those who prefer the family race ČT Jizerská 10. The two ever more popular races have been separated which gives more space to the skiers both on the trail and in the backstage of the race in Bedřichov. The highlight of the classic skiing festival will traditionally come on Sunday, when thousands of amateur skiers and hundreds of professionals gather on the track of the legendary ČEZ Jizerská 50. There will also be a colourful accompanying programme throughout the weekend. You can look forward to concerts, the opening ceremony and a programme for families with children.
The last 55th ČEZ Jizerská 50 saw a record number of competitors. It proved that after the unsolicited break, athletes are keen on new experiences and racing. The organisers of the race are ready again to meet their expectations. Registrations are open!
