ČEZ Jizerská 50 will refund race fees, the extent of refunds will be decided in mid April

The professional races and the Virtual Jizerská 50 is over, negotiations which will determine the maximum possible extent of race fee refunds continues.

A couple of days ago we informed you that Jizerská 50 was granted, as in previous years, funding from the National Sports Agency programme – Important Sporting Events. According to preliminary information the funding should not be reduced because of this year being different on account of Covid-19 measures.

We have been having intensive negotiations with the partners and suppliers of the race. On the basis of the results of these negotiations will we be able to tell all the participants who had registered for this years’ 54^th ČEZ Jizerská 50 and paid the race fee in what way we will be able to refund their fees.

The funding we will receive from the participants, partners, public authorities and suppliers will be essential for the future of Jizerská 50. We are glad that despite the situation which was in no way easy and thanks to you and your willingness to take part in the race, Jizerská 50 could take place at least in the virtual format in 28 countries around the world. We are aware of the fact that for a lot of you it is not easy to pay the race fee. We appreciate that you wanted to stand together with us at the start of the race and we see it as a big commitment. That’s another reason why we do our best to be able to provide refunds as high as possible.

We hope the extent of the refund will be good news for you in the end, now we ask you for patience before we are able to confirm the final information. The extent of refunds will be announced in mid April when we should have all the materials at hand.
