The historic milestone is here! Jizerská has 200 000th participant

Historians, together with the organizers of the race, have carefully rested the runners up to the 53rd edition of ČEZ Jizerská 50 and now have seen the jubilee 200,000th competitor. Is it a man or a woman? And what ovations will it receive? Follow the website www.jiz50.cz and be a significant milestone of Czech sport.

Jizerska 50 is a Czech cross-country skiing phenomenon, full of stories written every year by thousands of racers from dozens of countries all over the world. There have been an unbelievable 200,000 of them since 1968. Almost... Just a few more participants, and we will reach the nice round number. The organisers are meticulously looking out for the jubilee racer.

You would hardly find any other Czech sport event attracting as many enthusiasts as Jizerska 50, and that is, what makes Jizerska 50 really unique. It is a sovereign ruler among winter events. The 53^rd year will take place in February 2020, and another record number of those interested has been announced. 2,000 starting numbers have been sold, and the number is getting higher every day.

Special price for the registration will be finished in September, and that is why we always see considerable interest in autumn. This year is no exception. In the previous event there were just a couple of spaces left in the starting list, and this year it’s likely to be completely full. How soon? It depends on the potential participants. They can choose from 10, 25, and 50km classical and 30km free races. The programme includes relay race, sprint and children events.
