Another Milestone for the Jizerská 50 with 1,000 Competitors Already Signed Up for the 50 km Race

Places in the 53rd edition of the ČEZ Jizerská 50 are disappearing at a record rate. The most famous Czech cross-country skiing race takes place from 7 to 9 February 2020.

While last year only a few dozen places remained from the total capacity of the three-day event, this year it looks like the places will be sold out very quickly. This is likely to happen in all distances that are offered by organisors.

Is fifty kilometres on cross-country skis too much for you? No problem. You can choose between races over shorter distances. Friday offers children´s racesas well as 30 km skating technique race and sprint. On Saturday, competitors can take part in 10 and 25 km classic style races, or a 3 km relay. The main 50 km race takes place on Sunday.

Although the race annually attracts skiers from all over the world, it is not only professionals who take their place on the start line. Quite the opposite. Of the 4,800 names that fit onto the start list, the vast majority are amateurs. A significant number of them are even beginners.

1,000 entrants registered for the main race before the end of the summer holidays is a great advertisement for the event, as well as a reminder that the deadline for registering at the cheapest starting fee is quickly approaching. Applicants can sign up at discounted prices until the end of September. After that, there will be a slight increase. Besides the savings on the starting fee, be aware that the start list is filling up rapidly, so do not hesistate and register now.
