Pedersen and Norgren - champions of the 51st Jizerska 50

Morten Eide Pedersen dominated the Czech race for the third time in last four years. Katerina Smutna on the contrary did not repeat last year victory. Czech skier finished second after Britta Johansson Norgren. Swedish racer won Jizerska 50 for the second time.

Pedersen finished the race 46 seconds before second Oskar Kardin and confirmed that the Jizerska 50 is his favorite race. All his three triumphs of his career in Ski Classics Pedersen achieved on Jizerska 50. The third place belongs to Andreas Nygaard. The best home racer was eighteenth Stanislav Řezáč. 44 years old racer won the Jizerska 50 in 2000, 2001 and 2012.

Katerina Smutna struggled for the third triumph on the Jizerska 50, but she had to settle for the third time in row with this season with a second place behind Britta Johansson Norgren. Almost four minutes after the winner completed the race third Sara Lindborg.

4500 competitors on the main track 50 km by classical technique enjoyed perfect snow conditions. The 51st year of the famous race took a total of more than 7 000 competitors.
