In order to reach everyone who is interested in waxing, SWIX is preparing a ski-waxing reservation system for the upcoming ČEZ Jizerská 50. Please read the answers to the most important questions concerning this years´ service.

What kind of service is SWIX preparing for the ČEZ Jizerská 50?

Together with the organisers this year, we have improved the waxing-service facilities at the stadium, so world-class race service will be available for participants. From Thursday afternoon until the end of the race, we will have a heated space available so that all glide waxes will be applied at room temperature and using the best maintenance equipment. Good facilities enable us to guarantee first-class service, which is something that all Jizerská 50 participants deserve, not only the elite group!

At which races will SWIX provide waxing?

SWIX’s service will be ready for the Volkswagen Bedřichovská 30 freestyle race on Friday as well as for the ČT Jizerská 10, Hervis Jizerská 25 and ČEZ Jizerská 50 classic races on the weekend.

What kinds of wax will be available?

We have prepared several complete ski-service “bundles” ranging from top-level waxing, where we use 100% fluorocarbon powder glide wax and racing grip wax, to basic treatment of skis with hydrocarbon waxes and an ordinary line of grip waxes. When and where should I reserve waxing? When will I pay?

So that racers don’t have to be anxious before the start about how and when to wax their skis, we have launched an online reservation system in which it is possible to reserve complete waxing service for every race. We decided this year for payment when reserving waxing. Thanks to this system, everyone who reserves waxing will be guaranteed to get top-level service.

Can I get the service even if I don’t reserve waxing in advance?

If we have space available, we will prepare skis even for racers without a reservation. However, we strongly recommend that you make a reservation in advance, as capacity is limited.

Where and when should I bring my skis? Where should I pick them up?

Ski service will be provided at two places: at Severka Liberec and in the heated Hervis tent at the stadium in Bedřichov. We will transport skis from Severka Liberec directly to the stadium. Those who want to have their skis fully prepared for the race must bring them to the collection point the day before according to their reservation! Please note that the service capacity is limited and we thus recommend that you reserve a place in advance. Grip wax will be traditionally applied in the morning before the race.

Is SWIX preparing anything new?

We are very pleased by the fact that we have again managed to borrow waxing machines from Norway, which will serve for applying grip waxes and help us to greatly increase service capacity while maintaining the same if not better quality!
