The unique experience connected with the famous Jizerská 50 is not intended only for adult endurance skiers, but also for our smallest skiers. Like last year, the first 200 registered racers will find a Kama cap worth CZK 350 in their starting packs.
There is not a more renowned winter race in the Czech Republic. The Jizerská 50 is a synonym for cross-country skiing. It is a challenge and, at the same time, a powerful experience. North Bohemian mountaineers were at the inception of the tradition lasting 45 years so far, while today there are thousands of enthusiastic cross-country skiers who enjoy the unique atmosphere in the heart of the Jizera Mountains.
Every year that atmosphere is enriched by children, for whom Friday afternoon is reserved. The children’s races start at 2:00 p.m. Due to rising interest, however, the organisers recommend registering sufficiently in advance, ideally via the internet. Families with children and sports clubs thus avoid waiting while also saving money. Online registration cost CZK 100, while registration at the site of the event costs CZK 150.
This year every child will newly receive a chip for the race, by which his or her exact time will be measured. More information on individual races is available at www.jiz50.cz, where it is also possible to register.
