ČEZ Jizerská 50 2026 Will Take Place One Week Earlier

The 58th edition of the ČEZ Jizerská 50 is successfully behind us. Four action-packed days featuring a total of eight races welcomed thousands of enthusiastic participants, with exactly 8,413 skiers registering for all race courses. The next, 59th edition will take place unusually at the turn of January and February (January 29 – February 1, 2026), due to the Winter Olympic Games being held in Italy.

Among the 8,413 participants from a total of 31 countries were 372 enthusiastic children in the Mini Jizerská Dr. Max. The main race saw 4,460 competitors, and more than 500 organizers and volunteers contributed to the event’s realization. Charity efforts also did not fall behind – a total of CZK 209,700 was raised for the "Pomozte dětem" (Help the Children) fundraiser, which will support twins Karolínka and Rozárka, who are battling cerebral palsy. Additionally, thanks to the efforts of competitors not only on the course via the EPP Pomáhej pohybem app but also visitors to the ski simulator in the event area, CZK 277,638 was collected for the ČEZ Foundation, which will support the construction of a new workout park in Bedřichov. Another CZK 233,600 was contributed by the racers themselves for the maintenance of the Jizerská magistrála trails, which played a crucial role in the preparation of each race.

Beyond the races, there was a rich accompanying program, including the ČEZ Energy Fest. In Liberec, Lenny performed under the town hall in a packed square, followed by the band Chinaski, while in Jablonec nad Nisou, the band Jamaron took the stage. The event also included a ceremonial opening, a tribute to the deceased mountaineers at the Peru 1970 Expedition Memorial, and the popular historical ski race.

The organizing team of ČEZ Jizerská 50 thanks everyone for their participation and is already preparing for the 59th edition, which will take place at the unusual date at the turn of January and February 2026. The event was rescheduled due to a possible conflict with the Winter Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo.
