Reserve your place at the start of the 54th ČEZ Jizerská 50 soon, the hygienic regulations might limit the numbers

The measures implemented against Covid-19 are slowly lifting and so cross-country skiing enthusiasts are beginning to see a ray of hope regarding the coming season. Although the situation is getting better, we stay realistic and prepare for various scenarios of the race depending on the possible measures.

One of them is that the government imposes a cap on the number of participants at an event. For this reason, we’ve decided that if a similar measure was to affect the 54th ČEZ Jizerská 50, those who registered earlier would be able to participate. It is the fairest way to decide who can set out on the courses in the Jizerské Mountains. The prepared scenarios count on limits for individual races from previous years, but with some restrictions. Don’t hesitate and sign up for the 54th ČEZ Jizerská 50 soon. Besides, the registration fee is cheaper until 31st December.

A good piece of news for those who’d like to give Jizerská 50 to someone as a Christmas present is that in case of a limit on the number of participants, the date of purchasing and paying for the voucher is what counts, not the date of participant registration.

If we do have to limit the number of participants, those who can’t make it can choose the form of compensation. Either they can transfer their race fee to the following year or the race fee will be reimbursed. This option is only valid if the total capacity of individual races will have to be limited due to a government decree.

Another possibility of course is that the race will be canceled all together due to emergency measures because of the Covid-19 pandemic. If this situation occurs, even though we believe it won’t, we will need about a month to calculate the cost of the canceled event and the maximum possible compensation of race fees to our participants.
