Warning about fraudulent reselling of race entries

Your favorite race is already sold out, but don’t want to give up just yet? From time to time, participants who bought their entry realize they cannot attend and offer their registration for sale. Unfortunately, fraudsters also appear, selling invalid registrations. That’s why we’re bringing you a few tips on how to stay safe and avoid being scammed.

1. Verify the seller’s registration. Check the start list (you’ll find it at the beginning of the race information) to make sure the person is really registered.

2. Ask for proof of payment. The seller can find it in their sportID profile under the order details.

3. Request a current screenshot from sportID. The seller should show their profile confirming they are still registered for the specific race, ideally with a visible current date and time (e.g., split screen with www.seznam.cz). Of course, even this can be faked, but it gives you an extra layer of verification.

4. Check the seller’s social media profile. If you’re communicating via social networks, consider whether the seller looks trustworthy.
