The legendary race Jizerská 50 belongs every year to the Jizera Mountains in the north of the Czech Republic. There will be more than seven thousand participants on the tracks in Jizera Mountains on February 16 to 18, 2018.
The skiers tested their shape and racing conditions of the Jizerska tracks during the atmospheric Bedrichov Night Light Marathon, on the first weekend of January.
During the Bedřichov Night Light Marathon participants of the races had the opportunity to discover the Jizera Mountains in a different light on the routes 10, 17,5 and 30 kilometers free and classic technique. Night race, which traditionally launches the biggest Czech cross-country series SkiTour, which also includes Jizerská 50, starts at the stadium in Bedřichov and shows competitors the places where thousands of cross-country skiers ride during the famous Jizerská 50.
A magical atmosphere, when only a moon, stars, headlamps and fiery torches shine on the track. In 2018, record 961 runners attended. Will the next year be even greater? The organizers would like to cross the line of thousand participants. Competitors can choose three different distances and go on free or classic technique. The program also includes children's races.
